The ornate mirror I purchased long ago in Washington DC. It was one of several leaning against a wall in an antique store, taken from a defunct hair salon. I love the gilded scroll work in it. It cracked in one of our moves, which just adds character, not bad luck. So as I stand in front of it I see the beauty and color of the salvia and the roses, the ornateness of the edge of the frame, and the lines in my face. I think, hmmm, maybe these add character. It's going to take a lot more than this pretty photo, however, to convince me of that!
